In 1974 Josep Maria Mestres Quadreny, Andrés Lewin-Richter and Lluís Callejo created Phonos lab, a pioneer entity in Spain in the field of experimentation, composition and promotion of electro-acoustic music.

To celebrate 40 years of its creation, Phonos and Museu de la Música de Barcelona present the exhibition " Phonos 40 years of electronic music in Barcelona". This exhibition is a review of the history of electronic music in Barcelona through a collection of instruments that have been part of Phonos since its creation. Synthesizers, recorders, samplers and other electronic instruments old and modern can be seen and heard in this exhibition, while discovering some people and music that contributed to write the history of electronic music in Barcelona.
The exhibition includes a series of parallel activities that will take place during the first half of 2015: guided visits with demo, music auditions, concert, a debate... More information to come.
