Phonos 40 years of electronic music in Barcelona - Related activities

As part of the exhibition "Phonos 40 years of electronic music in Barcelona" we are organizing, in collaboration with the Museu de la Música and other institutions, a series of activities intended to complement and raise awareness of this history of Phonos, the instruments and devices of the exhibition, the music and the people who took part of the Phonos history.

 

- STOKOS, TAPES AND REACTABLE. Sunday 15 February 2015 at 12 pm. Concert. Included in the concert series "La Música del Museu" and “Sampler Series” of L'Auditori. With the composers-performers: Perfecto Herrera, Sergi Jordà and Pilar Subirà. Instruments: RSF Kobol synth, Reactable, percussion and Stokos. Works of Josep Maria Mestres Quadreny amongst others. Price: 7€ (includes admission to the museum). Presale at the reception of the Museum.

 

- PHONOS: SOUND FILES. Sundays 1 March and 17 May 2015 at 5:30 pm. Audition commented by Andrés Lewin-Richter. Works created in the 40 years of Phonos. Free admission.

 

- INSTRUMENTS OF A TIME: MODULAR ANALOG SYNTHESIZERS. Thursday 5 March 2015 at 7pm. Guided visit to the exhibition and concert. With Perfecto Herrera, Roc Jiménez de Cisneros and artist-in-residence to be announced. In collaboration with the MUTEK Festival. Free admission. Reservations must be done at reservesmuseu@auditori.cat.

 

- SEE AND TOUCH THE SOUND: REACTABLE. Sunday 19 April 2015 at 5:30pm. Guided visit to the exhibition and demo by Sergi Jordà. Activity for families. Free admission.

 

- BARCELONA, ELECTRONIC CITY. Tuesday 16 June 2015 at 6:30pm. Guided visit and debate. Professionals in the world of musical creation, technology, research, training, festivals ..., will debate about the evolution of electronic music in Barcelona in the last decades. In collaboration with the Sonar Festival. Free admission. Reservations must be done at reservesmuseu@auditori.cat.
